The bowling shops in Sarawak we could confirm are both in Kuching. The Bowler's Spa works from Megalanes Sarawak in the E-mart Complex at Batu Kawa. Riverside Proshop serves Riverside Superbowl in the Riverside Complex. Both appear in the 2026 Storm VIP directory, and we found no listed shop in Miri, Sibu or Bintulu.

Listed in the 2026 Storm VIP directory. Same contact as the two Kota Kinabalu outlets.
Two Kuching centres
Both shops sit inside bowling centres, so you can try a new ball on the lanes the same day. For lanes and game prices, see our guide to bowling alleys in Sarawak.
The two shops list different contacts. However, Riverside's number is the same one listed for the two Kota Kinabalu shops. So one operator may handle Storm sales in both states.
What we couldn't verify
Neither listing confirms drilling or gives hours. Miri has Megalanes East at Bintang Megamall, but we found no pro shop there. Also, we found nothing for Sibu or Bintulu. If you bowl outside Kuching and know of a counter, please tell us.
Getting fitted
Call before you go, because drillers at bowling shops in Sarawak may only work set days. Then bring these:
- Your old ball, if you own one, so the driller can check your span.
- The weight of the house ball you use now.
- Any wrist support you wear.
- Your average and how often you bowl.
After drilling, bowl a few frames and go back for small fixes. Tape and a thumb bevel are normal tweaks. Our guide to drilling layouts explains the options.
Outside Kuching and buying online
For Miri bowlers, the nearest listed shops by distance are in Kota Kinabalu, not Kuching. See bowling shops in Sabah for those. Otherwise, a web store is the practical route.
Sunway's web store lets you send an RM0 inquiry order to a Storm VIP outlet, which can work if you visit Kuching now and then. For Brunswick, Hammer or Ebonite, X Proshop's web store delivers in 2 to 5 working days, although East Malaysia shipping may take longer. Web-store prices in October 2026 ran from RM550 to RM710 for entry reactive balls. Before you order, ask the bowling shops in Sarawak what they charge to drill an outside ball. For every state, see our pro shop directory.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I buy a bowling ball in Sarawak?
The 2026 Storm VIP directory lists two Sarawak outlets, both in Kuching: The Bowler's Spa at Megalanes Sarawak in the E-mart Complex, Batu Kawa, and Riverside Proshop at Riverside Superbowl. Both sell Storm, Roto Grip and 900 Global balls.
Which pro shop in Sarawak drills bowling balls?
The directory doesn't say. Most centre pro shops in Malaysia drill balls, so it's likely at both, but call first. The Bowler's Spa lists AhHow on 016-278 1898, and Riverside lists Dolly on 017-845 8400.
Is there a bowling shop in Miri?
We couldn't confirm one. Miri has Megalanes East at Bintang Megamall, but no pro shop appeared in any listing we read. Ask at the centre, since a counter may exist without an online listing. Otherwise, Kuching or a web store are the options.
How much does ball drilling cost in Sarawak?
No Sarawak shop publishes a drilling price. Across Malaysia, drilling is usually free when you buy the ball at the same shop. For a ball bought elsewhere, ask for a quote, and check whether finger inserts are extra; they sold for about RM14 to RM16 each online in 2026.
