Bowling alleys in Kuala Lumpur: where to bowl and what it costs

There are seven bowling alleys in Kuala Lumpur, and we confirmed all of them as open in October 2026. The biggest is Ampang Superbowl at Berjaya Times Square with 48 lanes. Prices for a standard game run from about RM8 at Alam Lanes in Sri Petaling to RM19 on public holidays at Times Square. Cosmic bowling at Mid Valley costs more, RM30 to RM35, because a drink and popcorn come with each game.

For the cheapest game among the bowling alleys in Kuala Lumpur, go early on a weekday. Times Square drops to RM11.50 before 4pm, and students pay RM8 then. Wangsa Bowl works differently: you pay for lane time, not per game, so a group of three who bowl fast can get a lot of games for RM30. See our bowling prices in Malaysia page for how KL compares with other states.

Closures and name changes

The old Megalanes KL at Endah Parade now trades as Alam Lanes Kuala Lumpur. It's the same centre under a new name, and it still hosts tournaments. Meanwhile, Gurney Bowl on level 6 of Residensi UTMKL, also listed as Elite Bowl, is still running. A community programme was held there on 4 October 2026, and Google reviews from 2026 show it open.

We also couldn't check every mall in Kuala Lumpur for a bowling alley. Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Sunway Velocity and MyTOWN came up in searches without proof of an alley, so they aren't listed here.

Nearby options in Selangor and Putrajaya

The bowling alleys in Kuala Lumpur are only half the picture. Most bowlers in the city also use the Selangor side of the Klang Valley. Sunway Mega Lanes at Sunway Pyramid is the country's main tournament venue, and Ampang Point is just past the KL border. Wangsa Bowl runs three more centres at 1 Utama, Setia City Mall and IOI City Mall. See our guides to bowling alleys in Selangor and bowling in Putrajaya for those.

Tips for bowling in KL

  • Peak pricing starts after 4pm or 5pm and on weekends. That tells you when centres are busiest, so weekday afternoons are the calm, cheap slot.
  • Bring socks. Ampang Superbowl charges RM5 for a pair at Times Square, while KLGCC charges RM5.50.
  • Pay by card or e-wallet at Ampang Superbowl, since its centres are cashless.
  • For late games, Supreme Cosmic Bowl stays open until about midnight or later. Its own pages list different hours, so check first.
  • League bowlers mostly travel to Sunway Mega Lanes, but Times Square and Alam Lanes also host tournaments.
